Digital Analytic for Structural Integrity Technology (DASIT) was established in 2018 at UTP to advance structural health monitoring (SHM), finite element assessments, and fitness‑for‑service (FFS) evaluations across high‑value assets in energy and heavy industry. Our work spans heat exchangers, insulated piping, and static equipment, combining physics‑based modeling with data‑driven diagnostics to help owners reduce downtime and risk.
Led by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahim Othman—a chartered mechanical engineer with 20+ years in Mechanics of Materials, FEA, and advanced composites—DASIT brings deep academic rigor and industry pragmatism to every engagement.
